Program Supervisor – Algonquin Child Care Centre
There is a temporary, part-time position available for a Program Supervisor for Algonquin Child Care Centre, in Woodstock.
Qualifications include: A diploma in Early Childhood Education, and/or a Bachelor’s degree in Child Studies or equivalent, and Member in good standing with the College of ECES. Training in the Highscope preschool curriculum. Minimum of five years experience in the field of early childhood education, and supervisory experience. Current First Aid/CPR, current criminal reference check and food handling certification. Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Regular, effective and timely communication with parents, regarding their child’s and the centre’s events, activities and plans.
Maintaining children’s records
Adhering to and implementing the regulations under the Day Nurseries Act, ensuring that all standards are met
Providing support/mentoring to Early Childhood Educators, support staff
Maintaining staff records Implementing program delivery policies for philosophy, curriculum and behaviour management
Coordinating Professional Development including Raising the Bar binder management and submission
Participating in community initiatives, and on community committees such as the Child Care Planning
Monthly staff/team/administration meetings
Managing the budget of Algonquin Child Care Centre
Ensuring that facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, efficient and aesthetically-pleasing state.

Program Supervisor Special Needs Resourcing Program-A Child First
There is a part-time position available for a Program Supervisor for A Child First, the special needs resource program.
Qualifications include: A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Registration with the College of ECES, Resource Teacher Certificate or equivalent. Minimum of five years experience in the field of early childhood education, and supervisory experience. First Aid/CPR
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Providing support/mentoring to Resource Consultants
Coordinating Professional Development
Reviewing applications for Program Assistants/Agreements, hiring and monitoring of Program Assistants
Participating in community initiatives, and on community committees such as Inclusive Childcare Network, and Child Care Planning
Monthly team/administration meetings
Intake and allocating referrals/effective communication with parents
Managing the budget of A Child First
Data collection/statistics and reporting of same to the County of Oxford
Payroll submissions for Resource Consultants and Program Assistants
Promoting inclusion within the community
